this morning #880.
this morning, while in the midst of a zen moment cleaning up leaves, i finally began to appreciate the way the earth provided for me. for the first year of my job tending to this park, these mornings were just that. a job. today, jay gave me a few shrooms. now i saw it all. the earth’s annual death & rebirth provided this constant supply of fall leaves to sweep. they just kept coming. in the winter, as the land froze over, i needed to keep the shifting landscape as safe as possible for people passing through. in spring, the green came. by summer, it all browned away. for two seasons, i was tasked with squeezing as much beauty as i could from the land before a new round of death & rebirth arrived.
