this morning #625.

this morning, it was hard to believe but they were finally about to start a new chapter. whether it would be an improvement over their current arrangement was not guaranteed. for seven years, their three-room basement apartment had acted as the backdrop for birthdays & breakups & weekends with the couch & the tv, hiding away from the rest of the world. at this time tomorrow, they’d be loading boxes into a u-haul, finally shutting the door on an environment that’d become downright depressing. the new place had much to offer. wide windows to let the sunlight in was an obvious upgrade but they’d come to find that living in an apartment untainted by pain was way more vital.
