this morning, though he had been unbound for months, he was still on the rebound & now found himself knee-deep in blowback from one more poor decision. months from this moment, when he looked back at his performance during this period of his life, he’d feel a sense of shame. it was basically the same as the shame of this moment but with way more perspective. up until now, his track record with women was squeaky clean. this last breakup had hit him differently though & now he was trying to balance out the universe by dispensing the hurt instead of waiting for it to come to him. he hadn’t counted on being called out though & when he was, the woe went both ways.
