this morning #620.
this morning, she sliced herself off a splendid-sized piece of breakfast cheesecake & brought it to the patio doors to watch the snow slowly falling outside. she peered on past the snowflakes at all those woods behind the house. all those woods were hers. they brought the logs that heated her home. at times, there was no need for a tv, as she could pull up a seat & watch the fauna that came out of that flora. birds & chipmunks feeding around the deck. deer & the occasional large cat prowling on the forest edges. in the summer months, shade from the trees swept across the yard, delivering much-needed relief. she smiled wide. mother nature was providing like a motherfucker.
