this morning #621.
this morning, when he walked out the front door & hopped behind the wheel of his SUV, he wasn’t thinking about how he had become the type of driver who didn’t think twice about honking at all manner of minor infractions. he clearly had though. a tan sedan switching lanes way too slow. honk. an ambulance slamming on its brakes. honk honk. dawdling pedestrians taking their time at crosswalks. HOOOOOOONK!!! it helped him blow off steam but raised his blood pressure too, feeding into a zen cycle of rage & release. so far, he hadn’t taken things too far. if he kept it up though, his honking was sure to tip over into violence. he saw other’s flaws. only cowards choose silence.
