this morning, his dull, desperate cries for attention were falling on deaf ears, so he decided to raise the volume with a desperate phone call to a fast friend. he had always been known to act a fool in a misguided attempt to impress his friends. for a while, they sort of fed off his manic energy but recently, he had taken his chicanery to a whole new level. the entire shtick had evolved into something both exhausting & potentially dangerous. who in their right mind would put on an easter bunny costume, strap a couple go pros to it & confront politicians? he would. so would his costume-owning & possibly last friend. their “tortoise & hare” spectacle would even go viral for a hot minute.
