this morning #376.

this morning, she’d shorn the sacrificial lamb clean & had now begun fashioning the fleece into a sweater. whether she considered the fate of that scorned sheep or not was still up for debate. it just wasn’t in her nature to take other people’s feelings into account, especially when it came to advancing in her career. on the outside, she appeared to be a team player. behind the scenes she had a habit of planting seeds that flowered into animosity & firings & the like. every once in a while, her husband had to remind her that she wasn’t on a basketball court any more. it wasn’t always necessary for her to try to dunk on people. sometimes just existing could be enough to get the job done.
