this morning #261.

this morning, first there was this low-level rumbling & then he was left tumbling through the sky with a tiny man strapped to his back & an enormous pit in his stomach. as he considered exactly how he wound up here, he couldn’t believe how much wind was up here. for years, his girlfriend had joked that he was afraid of so many things that he was evel knievel’s antonym. eventually, he’d had enough of it & decided to show her by throwing down a few hundred non-refundable dollars for the thrill of jumping out of a perfectly good plane. here he was, almost a minute into his free fall, adrenaline surging through him. he hadn’t even realized he’d shat himself. upon landing, he’d learn the hard way.
