this morning #260.
this morning, the missing piece was that she never felt release from the pressure of holding things in. at times like these, it almost would’ve made more sense to let out her emotions. consequences be damned. unfortunately, she was slowly learning that keeping quiet was clearly not the healthy choice, but she had no choice. every day, when she first woke, the first thing on her mind was her brother’s secrets & their growing fallout. he’d made their nuclear family radioactive. as the good child, she had a stash of unspoken opinions set to detonate but she wasn’t allowed to add fuel to his fire. her job was to broker the peace or at least keep her cool while her brother kept acting a fool.
