this morning #262.

this morning, she tossed the covers aside & took a nice, long look at the nice, long legs laid out before her. there was a time when all she thought they were good for was volleyball. that time had passed long ago, around the time when she’d met her first husband, a honest-to-goodness leg man. unfortunately, his distinctive qualities didn’t go far beyond that, so she used those legs to walk away. at a half-foot taller than the average female & an inch over the average male, folks often looked up to her. in some ways, her height yielded power. in others, she existed as an amazonian ancestor. both truths were subjective. neither was reality. she used them how she could.
