this morning, as he made his way along the kitchen floor, he began to feel the vibrations rippling through the linoleum. THEY WERE AWAKE! he didn’t hesitate. picked up the pace & went straight into a small space under the island where he waited & tried to assess the situation. as the vibrations grew & transformed into full-on rumbles, he stayed as still as a stick. if they learned of his presence, there’s no telling what they might do to him. if there’s one lesson that his mom taught him from an early age, it’s that humans are erratic. as a general rule, humans despise their kind. it doesn’t matter at all that they mean humans no harm. in a faraway land a long, long time ago, one of them tempted adam & eve and now they just can’t be trusted.
