this morning #2265.

this morning, it was no longer up for debate. he’s officially reached the state where he’s begun to conflate his mistakes with mistakes made by others. the train’s gone off the tracks & he’s unable to understand that, over & over again, it’s been his hand that’s steered it there. for as long as anyone can remember, society’s cheered his successes. so much in fact that, over time, he’s grown to assume that he can do no wrong. a flawless figure. now, any time he messes something up, by default it must be someone else’s fault. if anyone tries to call him out for it, he just talks circles around the mistake until it’s impossible to tell what the truth really is. engages in a densely-layered blame game that, in the end, somehow manages to save his bacon.
