this morning, she let the needle drop on her current theme song. turned the volume up rather loud. enough to rattle the windows. the downstairs neighbors were out of town for the week. freedom. she frantically danced around the apartment. moved from room to room. pretended she was in a music video. shake that hair. shake that ass. sing along completely out of key. abuzz with joyous energy. she started sweating & when the song came to an end, she just started it up once again. kept her body moving until the second go-around of her theme song was done. with a smile & a deep breath, she flopped down on her bed. tired but now totally alive. ready & raring to go.
