this morning #209.

this morning, there was no more touching allowed. it was touching how she broke the news to her husband of twenty-seven years by bringing him breakfast in bed & filling his head with positive thoughts. she softly slow-walked him down the path. how, when they had first started dating, his touch was so much more than she had ever known. how, after her fifth pregnancy, some switch in her had flipped & her feelings & his fingers had both gone cold. how, now that they were both in the second half of their probable century, neither of them had the sexual energy anyhow. how she still loved him regardless, how he shouldn’t think she was heartless. her ennui was nothing but harmless.
