this morning #210.

this morning, help was on the way. while he stood in front of the stove watching water boil, he meditated on the idea of relief & the fact that without pain, relief would not even exist. there was the existential pain that he felt when he heard about all the people who were enduring pain every day & enduring the wait until relief came. if often never did. he was lucky though. his mother was already on the road, driving the ten hours from asheville to stay with him for the unforeseeable future. when she arrived, it would be that warm childhood blanket he’d been longing for. until then, he’d drink tea & let the panic be. he’d watch the water boil.
