this morning #2015.

this morning, with backpack strapped on & boots laced tight, she locked up her car & walked off into the woods by herself. thirty-two degrees with little to no breeze. a solid layer of snow on the ground. flurries starting to sneak through the sky. sun shining down through the spaces in the trees. the snow emitting a satisfying crack with every step she took. 7.2 miles to her destination. the cave. a place where she planned to camp out for at least a few days. take a break from human contact. get back to the land, man. her aim: make sure the space is warm enough for her to survive in. meditate. paint. search her surroundings. this was going to be her time. her agenda. solo survival with no one to answer to but herself.
