this morning #1385.

this morning, an earthquake shook us all awake. it was nothing major, really. not richter-wise, at least. just enough of a shake for the earth to remind us fools who’s in charge here. ever since we relocated out here to LA, i’ve been waiting for the big one to hit, a rumble that splits open the ground & swallows all of us sinners whole. it’s been a couple years now & thus far, we’ve only felt a few minor tremors. so lame. i suppose i should be thankful that we’ve managed to stay safe. i’m thankful but a part of me also wants to see how things would play out if society had to deal with the fallout from a 1906-level quake. chaotic karma. people would likely lose their shit. lots of them are desperate enough as it is.
