this morning #1384.

this morning, as we took a serene stroll along the banks of the river & caught up on the last few years, she occasionally interjected to point out the sounds of hidden birds perched high up above in the trees. in the time since we’d last seen each other, i guess she’s become a bit of an amateur ornithologist. good for her. i always used to say that she should find herself a hobby. she always used to complain that nothing interested her. good to see that that part of her has changed. moving to the pacific northwest must’ve shaken something loose in her. she’s much calmer. that’s for sure. her whole disposition is different. when i look at her face, i’m no longer afraid of her losing interest in life itself.
