this morning #1293.

this morning, my youngest brother had taught our oldest son the word “oppression” & now everything occurring in our kitchen this morning was a sign of a larger class struggle. since it’s a weekday, we told him he couldn’t have sugary cereal. those are the rules. as a result, we got to hear that his friend’s parents let him eat sugary cereal whenever he wants. one time, he got to have froot loops for dinner. we’re the most oppressive parents he knows. way too many rules. we never let him do anything. just because he’s a kid doesn’t mean we can treat him like this. oppressors. holding him down. keeping him from achieving his dreams. he knows the word. now we’ll have to teach him how to use it.
