this morning #964.

this morning, i peeked & saw that it was happening again. goddamn. i thought we were past this but a rather rowdy group of men & women had once again assembled on the lawn outside my home, full of an enthusiasm that’s destined to tip over into mania in a second. i knew it would, already knew how all this was going to play out. as long as i played my part, we could all go on with our lives. i took a second peek out through the curtains. one of them noticed & let out a rousing howl. i let the curtains drop & went to my bedroom to put on the suit. if a bunch of drunk college coeds want woodchuck willy to emerge from his suburban dwelling & declare “six more weeks of winter,” i’m game.
