this morning #916.

this morning, cooler heads had prevailed. my son reluctantly agreed to put his stress about messing up his hair aside & wear a winter cap so he doesn’t catch a cold on the walk to school. i know. i know. before you get all riled up about the lack of science behind that, about how the whole “heat escapes through your head” thing is just an old wives’ tale holdover from the 50’s, please hear me out. i’m not one to deny facts. in fact, i’m one who raises a stink when i think someone’s making shit up. in this case though, catching a cold is long-established lore, something i grew up with & will never ever shake. look. it can’t hurt. if anything, my boy will stay warm. i’ll buy him his own hairbrush later.
