this morning, a warning went out across the land. every woman. every man. if we were to stay safe, we’d have to engage in some substantial life changes. no amount of kicking & screaming was going to change that fact. in fact, kicking & screaming were certain to make things worse. we had no way of knowing in the moment but for most of us, at first we’d be cool with the new rules. others who were more stuck in their ways would never really adjust. as time passed, most of us would try to avoid ending up dead but fatigue always trumps fear. against our better judgment, eventually we’d all have to just throw up our hands & throw caution to the wind. persistence is never contagious.
