this morning #689.
this morning, the back of the van was a marvelous mess. as she got dressed, she surveyed everything she’d accumulated since back on april fools’ day, when she’d suddenly had to abandon most of what she owned & her vehicle became her home. in the month since, she’d slowly started to build her life back up with a new appreciation for the impermanence of her possessions. the lesson she’d learned was that all the items now affixed to the walls & scattered about should all have a purpose. no more impulse purchases. if something was taking up space physically, it was also taking up space mentally. from here on out, both forms of clutter were utterly unwelcome in her van.
