this morning #661.
this morning, an eerie silence had suddenly settled across the land. he had trouble believing just how deep the quiet went, trouble believing that there was anyone else on the planet besides him. even the birds had ceased their incessant chirping. at first, he was grateful. then, he wasn’t able to get one thought out of his head. in the time since he stepped out into the forest, perhaps the apocalypse had gone down & for now, he’d been spared. he’d never been much for the bible though, so he wasn’t sure how the end of the world went. he definitely wasn’t sure what was supposed to happen to someone like him when it did. if his fears turned out to be true, he had a feeling he was doomed.
