this morning, on their way down to the border, they made a quick stop at a random gas station off a random exit off a southbound freeway. it was time to empty out the bladder & fill up the tank. thanks to their maps app, they knew that they were thirty miles from the oklahoma border. they knew that there was little to no traffic between here & oklahoma city. what they didn’t know was that the gas station that google directed them to didn’t take kindly to strangers & in the eyes of the dude behind the counter, they were strange. all it took was one quick look inside to decide that their bladder & gas tank could make it to the next gas station.
