this morning, her sources were solid. she was sure that they were. the facts were on her side, based on extensive research and, when put together, told a story of cold intrigue & bold-faced lies. in the end, it was her job to tell the story to the public. letting her emotions come into play was not part of the assignment though. in fact, due to old-school journalistic tropes that were rather passé these days, feelings were frowned upon. murderous police. misguided men & women. malicious misinformation. all of it was to be looked at objectively no matter how much the specifics shook her. this apathy acted as a cork. this article would be the one to pop it.
