this morning #586.

this morning, it was like she was frozen in time, with the sounds of elsa, anna & olaf wafting through her home once again. for at least a year, her daughter had been completely consumed with the same damn songs about snowmen & reindeer & letting things go. it had become entirely annoying & she’d reached her breaking point. the time had come for her daughter to diversify. she gulped down the rest of her tea, braced herself & headed to the living room, where she announced that they were going to listen to something else for once. ten minutes of tantrums & a timeout later, her feisty lil’ five-year-old was finally ready to accept superchunk into her heart.
