this morning, the sudden surge of activity in their immediate area was rather alarming at such an early hour. sure, there were often lots of folks out & about at all hours in this city but today something seemed off, like there was an emergency that everyone else had been made aware of. they peered out through the blinds at the bustling street just outside their front window & decided to they needed to go see for themselves. it took a few blocks before they came upon a crowd & confirmed their suspicions. a city bus lay on its side, shattered cars around it, flames forming on its front. though it was the most dramatic scene they’d seen in months, they left it behind for the safety of home.
