this morning, without even pausing to consider how low she’d fallen, she planted a big fat kiss on his flat white ass. what had started out as innocent compliments had now become sly ways to win favor & she certainly savored the workplace perks. after years of trying to keep her head down & assert herself at job after job with little success to show for it, she’d changed tactics & become adept at stroking male egos. it was much easier that way but she was starting to question whether it was worth it. while she’d acquired accolades, she’d lost her integrity in the process & now she was wishing she had just continued kicking ass instead of deigning to kiss it.
