this morning, if someone had asked him to come up with a solution to whatever was ailing the world on this particular day, he would’ve had to say “what’s the point? a whole new problem will just take its place tomorrow anyway.” the pessimism was strong in this one. by the end of the reagan administration, he had become a fully active activist, not some poser who sat around talking about how we needed to save the whales without ever stepping foot in the ocean. decades had passed since then and progress & change now seemed like quaint concepts, especially when those posers were now amplified by online platforms. he was no longer willing to shout over the din.
