this morning #484.
this morning, her idea of fun was running around from store to store, purchasing an excessive amount of goods that would ultimately do her no good. compulsive consumption completely compounded by a callous disregard for the long-term health of her credit cards. several pairs of shoes. loose-fitting dresses. a mess of unnecessary cutlery. a trunk full of junk. when she arrived home that afternoon, she’d only bring in a single bag. the rest would remain in the car so she’d have a chance to come down from her post-shopping high. by the evening, she’d have had enough time to experience a wave of regret, nap that worry away & feel okay about welcoming her haul into her home.
