this morning #482.
this morning, she was living proof that living through the dark & stormy season was reason enough to use the phrase “no pain, no gain.” this cliché refrain had always rubbed her the wrong way until the day she came out the other side of a rocky relationship with a man who she’d once cared for dearly. it’d nearly killed her ‘til it made her stronger but she no longer feared the loss. across the span of a handful of months, she went through many phases of rationalization. last night, she finally followed through & flew the coop and through & through, she knew all the quarrels & threats & betrayals had helped her gain sorely-needed perspective. unfortunately, they’d also left her with significant trauma.
