this morning #481.

this morning, nobody knew his name but, after much pain & reflection, he was completely content with this lack of fame. for years, he’d been making music in his makeshift basement studio, thousands of intricate beats woven into hundreds of tracks across a few dozen albums. in his earlier years, he had dreams of becoming a well-known producer, one who was so damn in demand that he’d have to turn down requests from some of the best. as time progressed & he saw his friends’ stress brought on by competing for kudos, he went in the opposite direction, finding comfort in creating his ever-increasing catalog. by choosing to put making music before making waves, he finally felt freedom.
