this morning #450.
this morning, the dam broke & she broke out in cries for her partner to get her ass downstairs. grab the damn bag. grab the damn kid. start the damn car. the initial plan had been for this entire event to occur at home in a calm, all-female environment until a regular prenatal visit revealed an irregularity. her daughter hadn’t settled into position, even with the help of acupuncture. at this rate, this birth was shaping up to be the antithesis of natural, the complete opposite of her experience with her first child. there was a good chance that they’d have to cut her open. she was hoping it wouldn’t come to that but she would soon be in the hands of the american medical system. her hands were tied.
