this morning #399.
this morning, sweetly she sleepily seemed to be fishing around for an ounce of affection. it didn’t matter who it came from but her husband held more promise than either of her teenage children. sometimes they surprised her though, especially her daughter. every so often, she actually got her to open up about all sorts of relatable topics: crushes, cramps, betrayals by friends. occasionally it ended in a hug. the boy was a lost cause though, all full of isolation & anger. she tried to get where he was coming from but she’d always been the kind of person who thought cure songs were “fun.” if nothing, once the kids left the house for the day, she could force the issue & get the love she needed.
