this morning #389.

this morning, sweat caked the sheets but his feet felt depleted of every last semblance of heat. he pulled his feet in tight against his body & pulled an extra blanket over them. something was clearly off inside of him. in previous years, he would’ve just chalked it up to a fever, called in sick to work & called it a day. given everything going on around the world these days, he was a little more anxious than usual this time. one day you have a fever, the next you’re in the hospital & before you know it, you have your own page on legacy.com. if it progressed, he’d definitely go see a doctor. you could never be too careful. then again, there was always the possibility that he was just getting cold feet.
