this morning #345.
this morning, it was unclear which had been upset more—her or the apple cart. a wheel had been broken. a spoke had been cracked. how she handled this transformative event would have repercussions that could last the rest of her life. on the one hand, she could sit back & accept the fact that that tightass judge had unreasonably suspended her license. if she wanted to keep her job or her boyfriend, she was going to have to rely on ubers or god forbid…the bus. gross. on the other, she could fight back, hire a lawyer, appeal the decision. one DUI was not an excuse to ruin someone’s life. she knew that she could do better. convincing others of that would be more of a challenge.
