this morning #315.

this morning, the oldest of her children had already been grounded for reasons that were totally not grounded in rational parenting & the youngest was sitting in the corner thinking about what she had done. she was on quite a roll, doling out the punishments. if anyone in her family was in need of a timeout, it was her. instead, her middle child sat alone at the breakfast table, trembling with fear at the prospect of being the next one to incur her wrath. she tried dialing her husband to vent her anger but he wasn’t picking up & her phone was soon soaring through the air & into the wall. with this, the tears started to flow & with that, her one child who’d avoided punishment ensured her it’d be ok.
