this morning #304.
this morning, the blustery bobbing of the boat forcibly shook him out of his slumber. at his usual spot, anchored on the edge of the bay, the waves seemed to be intensifying at an unnatural rate. ever since he was a kid, houseboat living had been his only objective & in his early twenties, when the opportunity arose for him to ditch terrestrial life for something more fluid, he jumped at it. glancing out over the horizon, he saw the approaching storm clouds & knew he had limited time to plot his next move. suddenly, his old lady getting fed up with boat life & dumping his swashbuckling ass wasn’t such a letdown after all. by the weekend, he’d be halfway to mexico.
