this morning, it was obvious that he was going through that phase in life where a big bowl of cocoa pebbles had circled back around & become an acceptable breakfast again. it was even more obvious that he was starting to revert to buried habits from his childhood, like some sort of emotional benjamin button sans all the magic & wonder. a thirty-year-old man swaddled in a blanket & watching cartoons isn’t exactly a good look. from the frequency of his tantrums, it was entirely obvious that he was not taking the breakup well & that he still had a lot of growing up to do. that fact was largely responsible for his newly-earned, increasingly sophomoric single status.
