this morning, mid-level moral clarity meant she was free to do just about anything she wanted to. amongst peers who peered into her inner workings & picked out the dirty details no matter what she did, there wasn’t much to lose. choosing to throw caution to the wind was not so much a choice as it was a way of life. with this casual mindset, today would be the day where betraying her best friend was no big thing. at least she would do it behind her buddy’s back. being blatant about it would just be cruel & only a fool would deny themselves the possibility of denial by conducting their business out in the open.
