this morning #2289.
this morning, they’d cut me off. no warning. “no more sugar cereals,” they said. “for your own good,” they said. mom delivered the news but then dad backed her up. reminded me how i’d acted yesterday after breakfast. how the game i was playing had gotten so out of control that i had to take a timeout. it wasn’t the first time. they blamed my bad behavior on the sugar. “look, hon. it makes you act crazy.” “it’s not healthy either.” thanks, mom. they were just piling on. i got up from the table. “fine. i don’t even want stupid breakfast.” before they could respond, i stormed upstairs to my room. threw myself down on my bed. SO MAD. mad enough to scream but i didn't. there’s still an emergency stash of halloween candy in my closet. it’s going to make a much better breakfast.
