this morning, living the american dream brought her that much closer to achieving her new dream of leaving america. circumstances had changed & like a snake eating its tail, the coding job that had brought her to this country a few years back had earned her enough money to return home & finally leave her old dream behind. it was about time. it was about atmosphere. it was about her tiring of trying to build a life here when she already had one built back home. there were so many racists here. sure, there were racists back home too, but in this country, she had to fend off their hatred. in her country, she just had to pity their ignorance.
