this morning, we were getting down in a dunkin’ donuts. it started when i met a friend who used to be with me in a dance troupe back in the day. every time we see one another, she inevitably tries to show me up in one way or another. don’t get me wrong. i’m responsible every time. we’ll get to talking & i’ll get her going. i know exactly how to push her buttons. all i have to do is issue a couple pointed verbal tap tap taps and just like that, she’s fired up. off to the races. in this case, i brought up a time in our thirties when we were at the club. she was trying to draw in the gaze of this guy with her fresh moves. she shook her head at me. NO. stood up. slid out of the booth to tell the tale herself. illustrate what moves she’d really made. i soon stood up too. boom. dance party in a dunkin’.
