this morning, happiness was nothing flashy. simply put, she was feeling pretty good. all it took was a solid night’s sleep followed by a long, hot shower. a cup of tea on the garden loveseat with her partner. nature sounds blanketing the both of them. clear skies. light breeze. the possibility of an evening visit from a friend. no obligations at all until then so she stayed submerged in this serene scene for as long as possible. if only every day could play out like this. calm & unbothered bliss. no stress. for the moment, the universe had blessed her with this gorgeous existence so she sat back with a smile while her partner put his arm around her shoulder & brought her in close. she had no way of knowing what tomorrow will bring but this morning had brought her enough.
