this morning, i do declare that i do not care. not sitting around my house thinking to myself “how can i, a middle-aged guy from the north fork of long island, make a difference in the world?” don’t care. does it put food on my table? a roof over my head? money in the bank? great. other than that, i truly do not care. you want to know how few fucks i have to give? well, pal. i’ve already told you thrice. zero fucks. politics? religion? climate change? let some other plucky, proactive fool try to figure that crap out. i’ve already done my time. advocated. voted. organized. fine lot of good it did for society. let someone else push the rock up the hill for a while. my muscles ache. my brain is fried.
