this morning #2054.

this morning, we mutually agreed to meet at the end of a rural dead end lane. at least a mile off the main road. someplace where no one would see us. secrecy’s key. in the interest of staying out of trouble, i can’t share that many details. what i can say is that i got there real early so i’d have enough time to survey the space. parked my car facing out just in case. one way out. if things go south & i have to make a break for it, i need to be able to do so without delay. he arrived a half hour later in that same beat-up truck he’s had since high school. i stepped out to greet him. he’s aged. we all have but for him it was different. he’s clearly seen some shit. perfect. given what we’re about to get into, that should be an asset.
