this morning #1858.

this morning, as soon as you stepped outside, you could tell that a storm was on the way. the skies hadn’t darkened yet but if you didn’t notice the thickness in every single breath you took, the ache was apparent in your joints & bones. there’d likely be lightning. whipping winds. downed limbs from aged trees. as the breeze began to pick up, all across town, curtains began flapping through cracked windows. if you had someplace to be, the window to get there was quickly closing. luckily, i did not. i’d give it an hour. two tops & then the skies are going to open up. it’s steamy enough that it probably won’t last all that long. can’t sustain if it stays in the same place. thank god. it’ll just stir up the pot & then move on.
