this morning #1815.
this morning, for the first time in months, they woke up in the same clean bed. shared space but the difference still split. he on the right, the covers largely left intact. she on the left, the covers this way & that, untucked & disrupted from a night of restless sleep. makes sense. she knew it’d take a couple days for her to transition back to not being alone at night. he’s always been a deep sleeper. even more so after sex. she used to be too but then something shifted. lately, her brain randomly races, so it’s hit or miss. last night was mostly a miss. took her two weeks to get used to the bed at the research site. completely new environment. this one was new too, but he’d done his best to make it feel familiar. she hoped that’d help.
