this morning #1800.
this morning, i went back & read the poem you sent me yesterday. did so a dozen more times. tried to decipher the deeper meaning behind your words. when i first read it, i just accepted that it was about us & our love. now that i’ve analyzed it further, i think it’s saying a lot more than that. for instance, there’s the line about the waves cresting & then crashing down upon the beach. on the surface, it’s just providing a sense of scenery but, to me, it also seems to be a metaphor for the rise & release of daily life. same with the section about the sunset. cycle of life. positive or negative, everything we endure is temporary. all it takes to get to the next stage is the ability to ride the wave of change.
